Injury and aftermath at TwitchCon
Chechik went to TwitchCon in San Diego on October 10, 2022, and took part in a show in a foam pit put on by Lenovo Legion and Intel. She suffered severe injuries when she fell into the foam pit and struck her head on the concrete. Chechik broke her back, and she had surgery to fix it. The surgeon inserted a rod into her spine during the surgery. Despite her serious injury, Twitch faced criticism for not discussing the situation in public or quietly reaching out to her.
Things got worse after Chechik’s accident. When she arrived at the hospital, they discovered she was pregnant. She lost the pregnancy due to fall injuries.
